Geography graduate Amanda Reinholtz has been awarded a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to study hydrology at the University of Oregon. Amanda had also previously worked in Haiti with Dr. Mary Tacy

Dr. Zachary Bortolot, assistant professor of Integrated Science and Technology at JMU, received top honors for his business plan for Optisilv, LLC, a remote sensing software for forest inventory applications.
